Fractal-Brother Mandelbrot is a senior monk of the Order of Saint Singularity. Worldly and methodical, he appears aloof but has a compassionate heart.
Mandelbrot is one of the leaders of a crusade on the pinnace HICRS Burning to the empty heart of the universe. After catching the Atomist as a stowaway on the ship, she becomes his protégé.

Early life
Fractal-Brother Mandelbrot was born in the year 3e3/4π of the Cosmic Radii dynasty. Abandoned as an infant on the doorsteps of the Order of Saint Singularity on Endymion 87, he was taken in by the Fractal-Siblings of the Order who raised him as one of their own.
